It’s actually not as difficult as you might think….

Depending on what model you have, there should be the necessary software included in your barcoding module which will allow you to quickly and easily upload your data to your PC. Once uploaded you will be able to edit and control your data to suit your business needs.

The Symbol barcode scanner is particularly designed for use with business accounting software, so that once you have scanned and recorded your data, you can then connect (HotSync) your scanner to your PC for complete inventory control.

If for some reason, you don’t have the HotSync cradle or the necessary software you could try installing the Palm software on to your desktop. Make sure your username is the same on both your scanner and desktop computer. Once this is done, you should then be able to copy the data directory off your scanner into the new directory on your PC.
